Oregon Trail Vinca Minor (Periwinkle)

This beautiful groundcover is a low-maintenance delight, thriving in sun or shade in all zones of the 'lower 48' U.S. Most of our products have glossy dark green foliage (evergreen!) and many delicate blooms. Growth varies from 2 to 6 inches high (depending on the variety), spreading in low mounds to establish edgings or lush beds. (Vines may add roots where they touch the ground, filling-in all the faster!) Never rambunctious, vinca will neither twine nor climb. Vinca also makes a great container plant.

Vinca Minor Bowles

Traditional 'periwinkle blue' blossoms now bloom larger, and persist from spring to fall on this much improved strain of the old-timey 'myrtle'. Nostalgic, and ideal for the traditional garden. Height 6 inches

Vinca Minor 'Purple'

(Just call it purple!)

Wine-colored blossoms really set off this dense, low-growing vinca. Closer to the ground than others, it's perfect for neat underplantings or filling small spaces. Height 4-6 inches.

Vinca Minor 'Double Purple'

Wine-colored flowers with double sets of petals! Slightly larger plant than our Atropurpurea (purple) above, and with doubly-delightful blossoms in the same color. Height 6 inches

Sterling Silver

Leaves are variegated green with white margins, blossoms are blue. Quite a lovely plant.  More of a grey green compared to Ralph Shugert.  Height 6 inches.
